"Certificate of Deposit"は、定額預金です。 "nest
egg"は、蓄え・貯金・準備金などの意味があります。
例： You should make a nest egg for your retirement.
退職後のための貯金をしておくべきです。
"in case"は、「万が一」「もし〜の場合」などを意味します。
例： In case anyone is interested, I will leave the contact info
here.
興味がある人がいる場合に備えて、ここに連絡先を置いておきます。
In case of emergency, you should always carry a cell phone with
you.
緊急の場合に備えて、携帯電話をいつも持っているべきです。 |
